This course explores the science of nutrition, with a focus on its vital role in maintaining oral health at various stages of life. Students will begin by studying the basic concepts of nutrition and the physiology of the digestive system, followed by an overview of key nutrients, their functions, and recommended intake. Particular attention will be placed on understanding how these nutrients affect oral health in women, children during growth and development, and older adults.
