In this course, students learn about the principles and research methods that will be applied later during their thesis or final project research. They study the concepts of knowledge, science, philosophy, and research ethics, formulate research problems, collect and analyse data, and prepare research proposals. This 5th semester course involves the writing of scientific papers and the development of project based on research and internships, offering solutions to issues encountered in the field or in companies where the internships take place. These findings are presented in a colloquium and defended in the final exam. The course content will be tailored to the research design being developed, including designs for 1) qualitative; 2) quantitative; 3) mixed methods; and 4) project-based research.
